Every cookie and local storage item this site and the WorkHunt app use, and how to turn the optional ones off.

Essential and security cookies cannot be turned off: without them we cannot sign you in or keep the service up.
Local storage
Some things are kept in your browser's local storage instead:
- Sign-in session: Firebase keeps your sign-in tokens here, so you stay signed in between visits.
- Analytics choice (
resumae.cookieConsent): whether you accepted or declined analytics. - Theme (
resumae-theme): light or dark mode. Change it with the toggle in this site's footer, or in account settings in the app. - Drafts: autosaved resume and interview-prep work in progress. Never used for tracking.
Third-party cookies
- Cloudflare (
cf_clearance): set on workhunt.ai and app.workhunt.ai after your browser passes a bot check. It lasts about 12 months and is a security measure, not analytics. How often it is set depends on Cloudflare's bot-protection settings, which we cannot see from the site. - Firebase (Google): during email, password, or Google sign-in.
- Google Analytics: usage statistics on this site and in the WorkHunt app.
- Microsoft Clarity (
_clck, _clsk): session recordings and heatmaps on this site and in the WorkHunt app. - Meta Pixel (
_fbp): advertising measurement on this site and in the WorkHunt app. - TikTok Pixel: advertising measurement on this site and in the WorkHunt app.
- OpenAI Ads Pixel (
__oppref): conversion measurement for ChatGPT ads on this site and in the WorkHunt app. It keeps a privacy-preserving ad-click identifier in a first-party cookie. - AppLovin Pixel (
_axwrt, _axwrt_ts, ax_visitor): advertising measurement for AppLovin ads on this site and in the WorkHunt app. AppLovin also matches its cookie with Google's advertising cookie.
Everything after Firebase loads only if you accept analytics.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is the one exception to the banner. Our content delivery provider adds its cookieless traffic beacon to pages at the network edge, before the banner can answer, so declining analytics does not stop it. It sets no cookies.
Your choices
On your first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics. To change your answer, use Cookie preferences in the site footer.
If you switch analytics off after accepting, we stop loading Google Analytics page tracking, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta, TikTok, OpenAI, and AppLovin pixels. Cookies Google and Microsoft already set stay until you clear them in your browser.
You can also clear this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the banner will ask again on your next visit. Blocking essential cookies or clearing the Firebase session will sign you out.
